The Payout Results is a side-by-side payout comparison of both formats of play. The Individual Play (IP) is a proposed new format of play that is going through a trial period at this time. It's been in discussion with the League Officers for a couple of weeks now. The Equitable Team Selection (ETS) is our current format for "team" payout results.

IP play still uses our current league quota system so that doesn't change. The argument has been the randomness of ETS payouts and players not being rewarded for a good round of golf but yet a player that has a bad day can win a significant payout with the ETS system. As you can see, the IP play rewards the players who shoot a better round of golf, compared to the field, and the payouts are distributed to 50% of the playing field for Total, Front 9 and Back 9. That equates to more people winning money based on their performance, albeit lesser amounts for most, than if you're "lucky" enough to get on a team. Yes, Denny would have to stuff more envelopes but that's what he is paid to do! :o)

I'd suggest you "negative Nancy's" re-evaluate what is being proposed. In the end you will have a vote!
