Very sad news about Johnny. He has worked at the golf course for 18 years. You were an icon and we'll miss you, Johnny! Comments can be made below if anyone chooses.
Below is the email from Lou Harris, Bay Palms Golf Director:
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I type this message. I am sad to report yesterday’s passing of our beloved starter, Johnny Bachman. Johnny had been having some respiratory issues lately, but this was quite unexpected. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this most difficult time.
I will pass along any additional information as soon as received from the family.

Johnny and i always had good Conversations about Macdill & Turner AFB in Albany Ga,as a Kid growing up at both bases,Golf was the main topic of the day,new clubs, and working on the golf swing, leaders on the Tour etc.looking over at the starter shack one would see Johnny checking golfers in, or out on the course keeping things moving.
he would show good respect and understanding to people when talking to them and while instilling good golf etiquette.
will miss good friend
